The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) World Congress

In October 2023, AGOTA members participated in the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) World Congress held in Cape Town, South Africa, joining global experts in women’s health from around the world.

AGOTA representatives contributed to the scientific program through abstract submissions and oral presentations, sharing research, clinical experiences, and insights from the Tanzanian context. Their participation highlighted AGOTA’s role in advancing evidence-based practice and amplifying local perspectives on international platforms.

Engagement in global forums such as the FIGO World Congress strengthens AGOTA’s capacity to bring international knowledge, innovation, and best practices back to Tanzania in support of improved reproductive health outcomes.
