Overview

The Comprehensive Post-Abortion Care (cPAC) training project supported efforts to improve the quality and responsiveness of reproductive healthcare services in Tanzania,  by equipping frontline providers with practical skills and guidance to better care for women experiencing post-abortion complications.

Objectives

  • Strengthening healthcare providers’ capacity to manage post-abortion complications safely and effectively
  • Improving patient safety and quality of care in reproductive health services
  • Expanding access to Comprehensive Post-Abortion Care in targeted regions

Outputs

  • Training conducted in selected health facilities in Dar es Salaam and Kigoma
  • More than 200 healthcare providers trained in Comprehensive Post-Abortion Care
  • Improved clinical skills and service delivery in reproductive healthcare
